Monitor Resolution problem

After running my Samsung 215TW monitor on Windows XP at 1600 X 1024 for about a year, I got a new Windows Vista machine. For some reason, I that resolution is not an option anymore -- the closest I can get is 1680 X 1050. The difference may seem trivial but typed copy is harder for me to read now.

What can I do to get the same resolution I had before.

Thank you.

The native resolution of this monitor is 1680x1050, and in terms of exact display and sharpness, it's the only one that makes sense.

You may simply want to increase your display font sizes (from display properties control panel) to help read stuff.
