Monitor Refresh Rates in Win XP

In my good old win98se I could select resolutions from the optional monitor trayicon.
It was easy to add custom resolutions in regedit, I specially like 1408 x 1056.
and it was easy to adjust screen refrresh rates also in regedit.

Can I do this in Win XP?

I use Geforce 3 TI200 with latest official reference drivers.

Also my games use 60hz refresh, which is particular annoying as it makes my screen woble a lot.

Hope someone can help me with this.

A utility called RivaTuner has a fix for the 60Hz game thingy.

(It forces max supported refresh rate to be in effect each time the

display resolution is changed)

This utility may or may not help with the custom rates, but it does

nicely for making 60 go away!

get it here

When you run RivaTuner, you get a screen with two 'windows'. Each has

a little button marked with a triangle for customize. Use the one on the lower Right.

when you click it, you will see the 60Hz button.

(hope it works well for you.. BE CAREFUL not to tweak stufforz that you are not familiar with...

yeah, I speak from experience... :D )
