Monitor Refresh-rate in DOS

I've got a Geforce 2 MX-card and I wonder if someone knows how to set the refresh-rate in DOS. I am playing System Shock 1 in 640*480 and the refreshrate defaults to 60 HZ.

Univbe? Is that some sort of display-driver and how do I get/run it?

its a TSR that could be used on vesa 2.0 compatible video cards. linky

Univbe always sucked. Try Unirefresh. It's what I use. Unfortunately, the site is down right now.

hehe i didnt have internet connection back then, didnt know of any alternative..... never thought univbe was anything special
