Hiyas
my 17" monitor blew so im back ot using my old 14" for a while..but i have a problem...i dont have the drivers for it...its an osborne monitor and they dont have a site or drivers ive been told they jsut rebadge peoples monitors so i would have to use another driver its model is MPV1024NI
anyway i set it up as a standard 1024x768 svga it works fine in 1024x768 but it wont do 800x600 or 640x480...because its trying to do higher than 60hz refresh rate...my old monitor had a check box in XP to click to disable to reses it cant do..but this one doesnt...is there someway to limit it only to 60hz so i can use games that use 640x480 for htere menues etc cause its all doubled and lined and fuzzen about and i cant see sheeet when its in anything but 1024x768
im using windows XP...will put 2k pro back on if someone tells me a way to limit to 60hz im using a 3dprophet 2 4500 tv out (kyro 2)
PLEASE HELP!! =P i cant play anything but Ultima 9 (which isnt a bad thing bu after a month it gets boring..considering i beat it 2 years back)
Thanks in advance

isn't there like a List All Modes function in Winxp ... you can then select your resolution and the available refresh rates.... go to Display Properties, Settings Tab, Advanced button, Adapter tab, then List All Modes button.

go to download.com or search google for a program called powerstrip. Intall it and then play with it. It has settings for your monitor where you can set the monitor to always use a certain refresh rate with a certain res. I could not get my monitor to go to 85hz in 1600x1200 and was able to force it to go that high (yes, my monitor can take it as it does 75hz in 1800x1440) Anyway, try that program and see how it works
