Monitor recommendation

Hi 🙂 Just wondering on any recommendations of £200 (no more!) monitor for a gaming rig in the UK. Any personal experiences?...problems?...etc. Appreciate all replies.

Ps: At the moment I have a 17" 1280x1024...so looking for something a bit better 🙂 Is it even worth an upgrade for that price? This will most likely be on a 1950xtx possibly 7950gtx.

IMO, best monitors are Samsung.

Look at their model selection and buy the best one you can afford.

I second that opinion! I have the Samsung 912N and it's great. I haven't had any problems out of it!

I like this one: 20, 1" LCD LG Flatron L204WT-SF silver-black, 2000:1, 300cd / m2, 5ms, 1680x1050, DVI, TCO99 - Price is 300euro w/o tax. But I dont know about availability in UK.

If you're into gaming more than photo editing (whatever) then try the ViewSonic VX922 - I just ordered it, so can't give you first hand knowledge, but I've talked to several guys who say it kicks butt and the reviews are all saying it's the best gaming LCD.

Cost about $265 US - I have no idea what the conversion rate is, but should be in your budget.

The Samsung is better for photo editing and stuff like that where response time (ghosting) isn't an issue

Thanks all, im taking a look at the Flatron and ViewSonic now...Samsungs look great! But unfortunately, they are rather expensive.

Ug..£215 at cheapest... more expensive than US...although for gaming its reviews are excellent and still is probably worth it 🙂 Thankyou.
