Monitor Recalibration Required on Every Bootup! HELP

Ok, with the help of a friend, Ive identified this problem, as an official Monitor Recalibration problem, where the monitor after a restart, which tempporarily turns off, seems to lose all of its calibration settings. I dont know why its doing this. The bios and windows logo screen are displayed correctly and they fill the screen, but then I get to the desktop, and I see about 1 inch of the left part missing, and it is stretched vertically. A simple Auto-Sync on the ole' Viewsonic VG150 can clear the problem, but only temporarily. Its getting annoying, I have to do it every bootup. Its like a chore now and I dont feel like my system is up to par because of this. HAS ANYONE BODY EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM? HOW DID YOU SOLVE IT? Would a flash of my bios to the newest be best? I doubt its a video card/driver problem. WHAT SHOULD I DO 🙁!
Thanks!

Well Im in Windows XP using a Radeon 8500 and this montior, and I would like to rn 1024x768, the max this monitor supports, and I guess 60 hz.

Set the adjustments manually on the monitor for that resolution, not by autosync, after setting the parimeters where you want them save and exit. It should stay at the setting you just set up.
