Monitor Question

After burning my eyes out looking for what is the right LCD monitor for I decided on the Samsung 940BX. While looking for my best price I came across 2 models, 940BX and 940BX-TAA. What does TAA mean, it's an additional $6 for the monitor, no big deal, just don't know what it means. The monitor looks excellent for the price.
Thanks, Ken

All I can find is a comparision on E-Bay. There it shows the 940BX as a 19-in monitor and the 940BX-TAA as 17-in.

If you can find the specs for each - just com-pare them. Samsung's website suggests that the 940 series is discontinued.

Thanks for the response. From what I can find TAA is some dsort of trade compliance rating. I checked the Samsung website and this monitor just came out a few months ago, discontinued already?

Yeah - that is confusing. A search for the 940BX-TAA on the Samsung site comes up empty, It is the 940B that is discontinued. TAA has a definite meaning computerwise, but only for hard drives. 🙂 (Track Average Amplitude.)
