Monitor Problems?

My friend gets this message when the PC starts:

Please check signal or DPMS mode off

sometimes he can get the pc on but 20 minutes later it restarts and he gets

Fatal Inception Occurred.

Whats the problem?

"Please check signal or DPMS mode off" is the message that a monitor will display if it does not recieve a video signal. That fatal error I am not sure about. It sounds to me that there may be a problem with the video card or the connection.

Whats the setup details?

not sure but its a systemax and it has an amd athlon in it...it was bought from the TV

don't yuo have a model number or details of whats inside? Sometimes the machines even have stickers on the outside of whats inside. Otherwise the box should have details or the invoice.

There may be a problem with the vid card but you need to test it/deduce the problem or call their support.

How long has he had the comp? How long has this problem been going on? If this is new and does this then tell him to send it back ASAP.
