monitor problems

i own the lg 915FT Flatron 19" monitor and i have noticed a few things lately:

1) monitor flickers - basically lines flicker throughout screen every so often.
2) monitor colors change - basically changes in shades of blue, then goes back to normal color

does anyone know what could be causing this???

it was fine until my mom ran the vacuum one day and the monitor flickered and changed colors a little. then it was fine and didnt do this for a couple days...eventually the cable guy came and installed new digital cable for the tv and also hooked up the cable for the comp...i noticed the problem when i got home and its been doing it ever since...

could something be interfering with the monitor? thats the only thing i can think of...please help!!!

It does sound like something might indeed be interfering with your monitor.
Unfortunately i dont have a direct technical solution to your problem but if you havnt tried this already; move everything like speakers and such away from your monitor. It might just be that you have something "unshielded" disturbing the monitor thus creating the flickering and miscoloring.

It's not much but maybe itll help, if not then good luck trying to find out.
