Monitor problems..

My monitor just doesn power up sometimes..have to press in/ out the power button(on the monitor) a number of times and somtimes it starts up after changin the socket it's pluged into...can this be a problem with my card??

card : 9800 se

Try a different monitor. If problem still presists, then you know it is video card problem.

My guess is that it is a minor internal problem with the monitor. You need to take it to a qualified TV repair person and have them check it.

I had the monitor plugged into a differnet system previously and the problem used to occur somtimes even then but I think it was not so often..
Anyways, does a monitor need to be connected to a card at all for it to power up(that is the small light on it to start blinking)?
