Hi!
I have a Dell d1025ht monitor which I thought I should put to use.
It's made by sony and a trinitron so it's no crap but it has this
weird problem that often when it boots windows or goes
inte openGL from windows the screen alignment goes out
of sync and it start to flicker. like it's suddenly in 60Hz
instead of the usual 100Hz.
I use monitor drivers 5.1.2001.0 supplied by WinXP.
NOTE: I have used this monitor for several computers/videocards/
windows versions etc and the problem has always been the
same. It must be either the monitor which is crap or the
drivers which somehow always were wrong.
When the problem appears it's the monitor reacts almost
like if there would be a power surge of some sort. Like
if I very quickly pushed the on-off button.
Anyone who has had any experience with this? It's not
an easy question..... My gut feel says that the monitor
can't handle the on/off delivery caused from changes
in windows. maybe it could be solved with a "soft-switch-
driver" but I haven't found any such software...
Greatful for any help / suggestions...
(it would be a shame to just toss it away since it works
perfect otherwise and it's a trinitron and all...)
