I have two monitors a 17" emachines brand regular monitor (not flat screen) and a 19" MAG Inovision monitor. Both of the monitors work but recently they have been just shuting themselves off. What happens is while I am on the computer they will just blank out (the power light is still on on the monitor however). The MAG monitor just blanks out but the emachines monitor compacts the screen into a tiny vertical green strip of light and then it fades away. I think both of them have a loose connection somewhere. If I hit the emachines monitor the screen will usually reappear but the MAG monitor I just have to unplug the power strip and wiggle it around a little to make it work again. Please if you know why these monitors are doing this and how I could fix it I greatly appreciate it.
