Monitor Problem

I have a VX924 that recently stoped working. I plug it in, turn it on and it will power up for a second before going blank. I think its the back light going out rather than the LCD panel.

Is there any way I can fix it?

Is there anyway to find whether its the inverter or the CCFL?

I have been looking online for an inverter for the VX924 and have not had any luck at all.

You'll have to do some research to determine the cause of the problem. Perhaps taking the monitor apart and examining the CCFLs will help (it's probably the board though). Some guy claims to be able to fix the vx924 inverter on ebay for $40 and another will fix power supply problems for $29 (both mention the on/off problem). Just search for vx924 repair on ebay. That's probably the easy way. If it were me, I'd do a lot of research and fix it myself so I wouldn't panic if and when my 24" starts dying.
