Monitor Problem

Hi,

I have a Relisys 19" CRT and I have set it to 1280x1024 resolution @ 85Hz.

Now that is the recommended setting for this monitor.

But after a few hours it keeps restarting itself. Normally about 4 times then stops for about 10 minutes. (Monitor, not PC)

Any ideas how i can solve this without resorting to a lower resolution or refresh rate?

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm... Wondering if it c/b overheating? Do you have it set up with some space around it so gets a little bit of airflow?

It was sat in the corner with a few inches between the back and the wall. I've pulled it away even further so hopefully it should be alright.

Never thought about the monitor overheating 🙂

Your problem very well could be due to overheating. Or it could be the high-voltage power supply about to go out.

You might want to take some time and thouroughly blow the dust out of the monitor's insides as well. That can cause heat problems faster than anything else.
