I bought an NEC MultiSync 97F about two weeks ago.
Since then, i've had this problem where every once in awhile my resolution settings would get messed up.
(i.e. when i turn my computer back on, my desktop would be really big so that I would have to move my mouse to the sides (and bottom and top) of the screen to see the rest of my desktop.
i would check the resolution settings for my display, and it shows as the correct setting. But if I reapply those settings, the desktop would be fixed. (i.e. it would go back to how it should be).
Today, that exact problem happened again... but with the added bonus of a high pitched sound coming out from the monitor. And the sound would go away after i "reapplied" my settings.
does anyone know what the problem is? could it be my monitor? or is it my video card playing tricks on me?
Anyone know how to fix this? Or should I return the monitor?
