Monitor problem or video card problem?

Well, after almost 6 years, my KDS 19" monitor (which has been an awesome CRT for me) is going out.... I think. When in windows (2D) and games (3D) I get a light green flash across the whole screen right before the monitor goes black. It has been a rare occurence but it has now happened 2 times in 10 minutes (while browsing anand and when playing a game). Would you diagnose this as a monitor issue or a problem with my video card?

I have not had a chance to try another monitor or another video card. I was just hoping one of you guys could share your knowledge if you have had a problem like this. I really hope it is my monitor because I can get a spare one fairly easy. I don't want to buy another 6800GT so I pray it isn't the video card.

holy s h i t u had a crt for 6 ywears? of course its the monitor! get a new one, crts have short life spans. don't spend money a on 6800gt because its ur monitor.
