Monitor problem.......need help

I just bought a Hitachi CM721F. THe monitor is very bright and clear in the center. However, along the sides there are vertical lines that are easily seen. Icons look some what fuzzy due to this. If I move the icon more toward the center it looks great. I can see small vertical lines on both sides of the sceen. THe start fading away about inch or two from the side. Any suggestions? Is there a tool I can use to adjust the monitor?

How good is Hitachi with RMA's? I have tried everything and still have vertical lines and washed out images on the sides of the screen. Once you get about 2" in from the sides it is clear and crisp.
