Monitor not working with A-B Switch

I inherited a small problem. I have two Vizio monitors. When I plug any of them directly into my PC, the monitors work fine. When I plug both into an A-B switch one works and the other does not (the screen shows "No Input"). The monitors are the same model and I can specify the input as VGA or HDMI. The monitors have inputs for HDMI and VGA and the switch is VGA. Also, I swapped the A and B, so does not appear to be the switch and I swapped the cables, so does not appear to be the cables. Any idea why one would work and the other will not, or what else can I do to troubleshoot?

PS - I have a nVidia Geforce GT730 card with 40GB memory bandwidth. This card is capable of delivering 3 concurrent video signals.

Uhh, if the switch is an A/B switch, then you're only going to output to one at a time. It sounds like you need a multi-port video amplifier, to drive both of them?

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

If you just want dual monitors on the PC, and both monitors have an HDMI and a VGA input, then connect one monitor via HDMI, and one via VGA, to the connectors on the back of the video card.

If you could clarify what you're looking for, or why you are even messing with an A/B switch in there, it would be appreciated.

Yeah i'm confused as to what you're trying to do as well...

If you just want to display both monitors, plug them both directly into your GPU.

If you're trying to do something else, you'll need to clarify.
