Monitor not sleeping when connected to KVM?

OK installed a new KVM (Apex Outlook 180DX) problem is when the PC stops the video and the monitor would normally enter "Sleep" mode - Now it doesn't. Picture goes "black" but monitor is still on full power mode...
Any ideas?
 
Some KVM (not sure about your model) continue to send a signal of some sort to the monitor.
The one I have at work keeps the monitor awake at all times.

Can you trade it in? My Belkin OmniCube lets the monitor get its beauty rest. I had thought all KVM's did, so I guess I was lucky...of course the mouse support is flaky on mine so I can only use it as KV so maybe I wasn't. 😕
