I have a D865PERLX with the i865PE chipset. At first we were having problems with the USB. Then we were not able to get any video. In the past we had this problem and we changed the battery on the MB and it solved the problem. We have changed the battery and are still not getting any video. Before the monitor light would stay orange. After changing the battery the light changed to green but we are still not getting any video. I wanted to clear the CMOS but I am not sure how to do so. I tried what I thought but it did not seem to make any change. Any help would be very much appreciated.

To clear CMOS, there should be a jumper near the battery on the board. There will be 3 metal pins with a small jumper shorting out two of them. You need to take the jumper off and switch it to the other position so it covers the middle pin and the pin that used to be uncovered. Leave it there for a minute and then switch it back to the original position.

I don't know if that's going to solve your problem, but that's what you do to clear CMOS.
