Monitor not keeping geometry settings?

Hi

I recently purchased a Dell P1130 21" monitor which is a rebadged Dell G500 or 520 I believe and a GF4 Ti4600.

Anyway at 1600x1200x85hz or 1600x1200x100hz (which are my desktop resolutions) the picture was a little crooked and 'off' so I used the geometry adjustments to straighten it.

However, the monitor does not seem to 'keep' the geometry settings. Often when I exit a 3D game and go back to the desktop I find the geometry setting has changed and I will have to reset the gemotry settings on the monitor and readjust them.

Any ideas whats causing this? This would be a monitor issue and not a video card issue I am assuming? Might I need to RMA this monitor?

thanks in advance for any assistance :)

Actually it's more likely that the game doesn't restore the refresh rate to what it was before, so that you end up on a different one - and thus on a different settings memory bank in the monitor.
