I bought my LCD monitor years ago, but I don't know what model or the native resolution.

How do I find out the model?

What about the native resolution?

All I know is that it's a Dell.

Your GPU driver or Windows should be able to tell you what it is.

The native resolution will be the largest resolution it supports.

Are the visuals supposed to be the best when I run games in the native resolution?

My graphics card's highest resolution is 1080 x 1024.

This print seems to small on the screen.

Yes - you'll get the sharpest image since it's a 1:1 mapping with no scaling.

I think you'll find it's 1280 x 1024.

This is a different issue. If you drop the resolution the print may get larger but everything will get blurrier. It's better to increase the text size rather than running a non-native resolution.

Thanks. When I went to play Fear, the screen resolution wouldn't go as high as my native resolution.

Is it because the video card is maxed out?

?

I have this problem too, with a 1900xtx. I'm sure it's not because my card is incapable. I think the game's options menu just stinks.

Patch the game to 1.08. If you still don't have the option then edit the game's config file manually.
