Monitor Native Resolution not working

I have a Sceptre x22 Gamer 22inch LCD and a eVGA880gtx. The monitor has a max res of 1680x1050 but I can only set it too 1440x900, any higher distorts the color. I installed the monitor drivers from Sceptres web site, and I have the latest Nvidia drivers. Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
 
possible it might be the monitor have you tried it with another computer?

has it worked before? with a different video card? tried another monitor with the system?
