Hi,
My problem began just recently and only today when I tried playing STALKER on my system. I am running Vista 64 bit and have a GTX 280 with a Samsung 19' 1440 x 800 Resolution max. When i started Stalker the monitor quickly gave me the Mode not supported error.
However, here is when it gets worse because now every time I try to start up windows vista in normal mode it gives me the same error before the login screen even shows up. I can only go into safe mode.
Also I have searched around google and people keep talking about running in VGA mode and that isn't on my safe mode selection screen. Is there any other way to get to it?
I have uninstalled the drivers in safe mode and then went to normal mode to install the cd drivers back but I still get the error message when i restart the computer. Is the refresh rate the problem? Cause I have no idea how to change the default start up display settings.
