Which manufacturer produces higher quality lcd monitors?
I'm looking in the 17-19" range
for the same price, who has better quality monitors? dell? toshiba? nec? hp?
in other words, if i was spending 450 on a 17" lcd monitor with dvi - should i get the dell UltraSharp 1703FP 17 or the NEC Multisync?
 
Well, there are designers and manufacturers of each the panel and the display as a whole, then brand names who provide the support and warranty so each model must be considered individually. The Dell 1703 is fine for web 'n' such but not for games. Best forums for research are hardocp and arstechnica.
