Monitor making Noises?

Okay i'm running 1280x1024 and at 60 Hz and my monitor just started making this Anoying sound. I cant put my finger on it but When I increase the Hertz it gets louder. And I dont really wanna drop my rez any solutions?
 
its dying. no user fixable things on crts..or lcds for that matter. put it down. i've had two do that to me.. one that stopped for a little while if i smacked it from the side.

Yup: start looking in Hot Deals for another monitor, your going to need one soon. 🙁
 
Yep, I have a CRT in the garage that was on its way out. It didn't have the noise symptom, but the picture did randomly shake like crazy about every hour. Now, my LCD is pretty cool!
