Monitor Keeps Going Into Power Save Mode

also my monitor will go into powersave mode sometimes when i am playing a game.i don't know if these two probs are linked together but im sure they are.and noting in overheating. i also installed a new bfg 6800 video card on my comp but i don't think that is affecting it at all.and now sometimes if will show the windows loading screen and between that and the welcome screen it goes into power save mode.some one plz help
 
Mine will occasionally pop into power saving mode during bootup, its rare and only last a sec or two.

Probably normal.

Some monitors have a power saving option in their menus, check that too. In windows set it to never sleep under Power Options.
