Monitor Issue - Does This Mean It's Dead?

Fiance was on her computer and all of the sudden screen started going plaid. I figured it was just something with the video card, so I blew the dust out and same issue. I put my video card in her system - same issue. I hooked up my computer to her monitor - same issue.

Do monitors actually "die?" I've never seen one do this and it's only 2 years old.

It's a Samsung Syncmaster 710N.

There are few buttons on your monitor rear. Press the button and see if any letter pops up, else ... SHAKE your monitor for few times then try again.
Out of warranty, buy another one!

LOL - I just tested the video cable to make sure and that wasn't it either. I contacted Samsung and it's still under the 3 year warranty, so a new monitor is about to be on the way.

Good thing I got old parts to hold her over. :)
