first of all....my monitor is a Optiquest (by viewsonic) V655...it's 17 inches...it's like 6 years old...with my savage 4...it was extremely blurry in 800x600...I could still read it and stuff...but it was really blurry...and caused a lot of eye strain...anything above that was unbearable...I knew my monitor sucked...but then when I built my system with my Radeon 8500...it was still the same...so...right now I'm typing this in 640x480 because it's a lot more easier to see everything...but hell...it's still blurry in this resolution...it's probably my monitor's fault...but is there any way to fix this? do I have to install drivers for the monitor or something?

If your somewhat good with electronics or wanna take the risk, take off the back cover of the monitor
and if your looking at the front there will be 2 adjustments on the left rear. They are marked

1. Vfocus
2. Hfocus

These are the verticle and horizantal focus adjustments for the screen. Be very careful adjusting these they
are very sensitive and you have to do it while the computer and monitor are on. You usually can clear up the focus
problem but your tube might also be just to old.

Tip: After you take the back cover off follow the red wire at the top of the monitor to the back left and it should meet
a black box top thing. This is usually where the focus knobs are. Its always a good idea to use a plastic screwdriver
if you have one to make these adjustments. Also make sure you dont play around that red wire with the suction cup
looking thing on it, this contains a whooping amount of volts and will send ya flying or kill ya.
