Monitor Help! Viewsonic VA2226W vs. the Acer AL2216wbd

Which one would you guys recommend more?

I like them both, but am not sure what to go with.

Does the 0.4" difference of the Viewsonic (21.6") vs. the Acer (22") make a difference?

They're both the same price (after rebate).

I am looking for something at a decent price and one that will be good for my gameplay/browsing/movies. I play BF2 and some MMOs, and might pick up UT3, not sure yet though.

I have gotten so many people who only say "226BW" but in the end, that monitor is almost $100 more and just not sure that for me it's worth the small amount of differences.

Thanks and I'm open to other suggestions as well. Hard to make a final decision here!!

Go with the ViewSonic, I don't think the 0.4" makes any difference since the resolution is the same (1680x1050) - It has better contrast, as for the acer, this model is the absolute entry level, I've seen acers with better specs in real and the image sucked.

Go with the Viewsonic. It has SLIGHTLY better dot-pitch (or pixel-pitch now I guess) and I have the VA2026W and I love it.

Yeah, I've been leaning towards the Viewsonic. I've used their CRTs in the past and loved them, and have always heard good things about their products otherwise.

The Acer has looked appealing though due to price and it has a ton of good/decent reviews as well making it really appealing.
