Monitor has bad corner color

High, I just noticed the upper left corner of my 17" CRT has washed out colors. If you take a look at this screenshot of my comp, notice the orange and blue firefox icon at the top left. The orange looks green, and the blue, orange, when at the top left. When I move the window towards the middle of the screen the colors go back to normal. Do any of you have any ideas?

Degauss, and check for magnets (speakers, telephones) near the monitor.

Oh, and 800x600? How do you live with that low?

Thanks, it was the the speakers I put on my desk (smacks forehead). I live that low because I sit in a lounging chair, ~2" away from the screen. It makes reading text easier.
