I have a Samsung 2493HM monitor. It recently has started going dim on darker screens. For example, sites with lots of white(like google or gamefaqs) are just fine. But sites and games with darker colors go dim. Why is this happening and can I fix or replace something?
I have the Samsung T220HD, and it does that when it's set on "Dynamic Contrast" - looks like your monitor has that as well. Turning that off (probably under brightness settings) should fix it.
Well, I took your advice and it worked. I just switched it from Dynamic Contrast to Game. Not sure what the problem was, though. I've had the monitor for about 7 months or so, and never had this issue until about 3 days ago. Any ideas?
