Monitor Giving Yellow Tones

Hey guys/girls I have noticed over the past year or so that my monitor will occasionally give a yellowish tone or hue (whatever) and then go back to normal. I replaced my video card a year ago (GF2 Ti) (needed to be done anyway) and it seemed to help. But I still notice it. I am wondering if this is the monitor's problem. It is from my wife's old HP computer (Pavilion M70). Any idea why this happens and what to do about it?

wiggle the cord.

If it fades in and out it's probably a very slightly loose cord. If it's constant then you probably just have your color temp set wrong in the monitor.
