Monitor giving me "No Sync"

My graphic card is 7900GS from EVGA and my monitor is Viewsonic VX800 LCD which is an old model. Just starting today, the monitor give me "out of sync" every several hours. I am using the single-link DVI. Dont know where the problem is. Is it the monitor too old?

maybe the DVI cable is damaged or damaged by someone when you were away?

try using a different or a new DVI cable.

It will work for 2 hr then "No Sync" restart comp then 2 hr later again. Keep giving me "No sync"...

Try changing the power cable too?

if possible, test the LCD with another PC and see if it still happens.

Now my comp can not even start up. It will show no screen. Is it the motherboard, graphic card, power supplies or Monitor?

nvm...it's my graphic card that died on me. using onboard graphics now
