I want to start coding again. Looking for a new monitor for programming (and some photoshop) to be used with an i7 Thinkpad T430s Notebook (and an i5 MacBook Pro later) with the following specs:

- 23-24" (more would be fine too, of course)
- IPS panel
- 1080-1440p (1440p preferred)
- ideally slim bezel (might add 2nd/3rd screen later)
- 250$
- available in Germany

Any recommendations? How about the Dell U2415?

I just bought a Dell U2415, and it is an absolutely beautiful screen. I would say it's the perfect balance of resolution and screen size. 1440 is quite small on even a 25 inch screen and you'll see people recommend increasing the OS display scaling. I find this not to be necessary for 1920x1200 and 24 inches. The bezel is also quite nice. Just a thin piece of actual plastic with a roughly 1/4 inch bezel on the display itself. Colors are great, even right out of the box, though you will likely need to adjust brightness and such to your liking. And it features all the physical adjustments: height, tilt, swivel, and portrait/landscape rotation. I don't really know of any other display that fits your criteria and is as good as the U2415. I could very well be wrong, but it seemed like the best option when I bought mine.

Simply not true, 120PPI is the limit for where you want to start GUI scaling.

The U2515H is 117PPI and falls just under this limit. As long as you have decent eye sight and are sitting the appropriate distance from your screen 25" 1440p is just fine without any GUI scaling at all, i've been using two daily for the past ~9 months without any issues whatsoever with text legibility.

Ive got 3 Dell s2415h which is the little brother of the U2415. The bezels are insanely small, and it looks great for office work. Definitely recommend them for that. I dont know if the U2415 is glossy like my s2415h but the glare is fairly bad on the monitor when displaying blacks.
