monitor for gaming $250 range??

in regards to monitors... anyone know anything about the dell U2311 ultrasharp for $279.00, or maybe samsung
dont know anything about monitors and want to hopefully stick to around $250 range with about 24" for gaming.

suggestions anyone?

You should probably be posting this in the "Video Cards and Graphics" forum, they're are quite a few threads there in regards to Monitors.

I have the U2211H, which is the same as the U2311H except its an inch smaller. The main advantage of this monitor (besides the awesome stand) is the color quality. I believe my exact words after installing it and playing TF2 were "This is like video game sex" it really was that noticeably nicer.
I've never had any problems with ghosting or response issues. But then again I've never noticed it on any of my monitors, so maybe I just don't notice.

Also, the U2311 has gone down to $240 many times ($200 refurbished from the dell outlet).

But if color quality isn't that important, then go with a TN and save yourself the cash. Or go with a 120hz monitor, that's something that would be really nice to have.
