Weird problem... I'm not sure if this is memory related or what.
Occasionally after my machine has been on for a while, my monitor (CyberVision C70 - sort of a POS, but okay), starts to flash with a yellowish color. I hadn't noticed this for a while, which is why I suspect memory.
Anyhow... I just upgraded to an ABIT TH7 w/ P4 1.4Ghz 128 rambus w/ GeForce 2 MX-400 64mb , from a ABIT BE6-II PIII 650Mhz w/ 512 ram w/ a TNT2-Ultra 32mb. I used to see this yellow color a while back, and honestly can't say when it stopped, but suspect it was after I upgraded memory on the BE6-II, to over 128 ram. Suddenly the problem is back again.
I'm going to be upping the memory with two more sticks of rambus at 128mb each (pc800 if anyone cares) which will give me a total of 384mb on the new setup. While I suspect this will solve the problem, and not provide me a good excuse to replace a good working monitor, can anyone explain to me what is happening here?
I can't find anything on this subject other than folks saying they think their monitor is going bad, and other folks replying that maybe they are right. LOL
Thanks!
Diana
