Monitor flashes on briefly

Very strange issue that I ran into with my new GM-171B LCD monitor. I have had my monitor installed and working for the last two weeks. Today I left my PC for about an hour and when I came back the screen was blank. I immediately thougtht it was a lock up issue, so I rebooted. When I did the screen flashed on for less than a second then went blank again. I can not get the monitor to work under any circumstances (safe mode, lower resolution, lower update frequency, and on multiple PC's). It has the same issue no matter what. Has anyone seen this before? Do you think it's dead?
 
If you disconnect the monitor from the computer (so the only cord going into the monitor is power) do you get a message saying "signal lost" or "no signal" or anything like that on the screen? If not, then it may very well be a problem with the monitor itself.
