Monitor Experts! Need Help

Hi as many of you know I've been trying to get my Monitor fixed by Sony. Well my last attempt failed again, I called their 800 number to get the holes on my glare coating or atleast what appears to be holes on the glare coating fixed... When the monitor is on, the holes is brighter compared to rest of the screen which makes them look like dead pixels, but if you change the background color the holes change colors too and if you look at it from an angle it looks like the holes are inside the glass and when you run your finger thru the hole you really can't feel it... Which makes me think that they are indeed inside the glass

Sony is saying that it is MY FAULT for cleaning the monitor, eventhough I cleaned the monitor using a product they recommended called Klear Screen

I've talked to several Monitor Techs and most of them said that AR and UV Coatings are sandwhiched between glasses and are not on the surface of the monitor. Is this true? And another thing how can something like this which I DID NOT CAUSE not be covered by the warranty?

Let me know as to what else I can do, I don't want a $1500 monitor yo go to waste.. Thanks for all the advise...

Have you contacted your credit card company to file a complaint and have them help? Also, the sony people are wrong.

Another idea.. Is there an authorized sony monitor repair center near where you live. If there is call them up and set up a repair and see if they can fix it. Don't tell them what has transpired.

Well the monitor is about 6 months old so I'm not exactly sure if I could still complain to my Credit Card

And yes there's a Service Center an hour or 2 away from me but I'm afraid they'll say the same thing...

I would call the service center and tell them what the problem with the monitor is. Don't tell them what has transpired so far. It is under warrantee which means that if they fix it they get money, so it's in their interest to do something to it. If that doesn't work then call you credit card company. 6 months probably isnt' too long to ask for their help.

Yeah I think I'll do that but just incase my visit to the Service Center fails I plan on calling Sony Japan and Sony Corporate America that or just write them a letter and plea them to replace my monitor.. Which is all I want..

Also, if you did get it from comp usa. Ask to speak to their manager and tell him you want a new monitor or your money back.
