Monitor emits "buzzing" sound on rich text webpages

Sometimes when i visit webpages that have a lot of text in it, the monitor begins emitting a soft buzzing type sound... When it displays something that is not rich in text it's fine, but when i get to a page with a lot of text the sound comes. It's pretty irritating. I remember this problem occuring over a year ago but at some point, for reasons unknown, it disapeared.

Anyone know why it would be doing this?

I have a few things around it that may be having affects, like speakers, a halogen lamp, printer, keyboard, just your common PC peripherals... I tried manuvering them to different locations, away from the monitor, but it doesn't appear to help. I can't for the life of me understand how the sound went away in the past after first appearing, and then return later... Too many things have happened changed over the course of time for me to be able to pinpoint one culprit... Ugh.

Cut your refresh rate to 75Hz and see if it does the same.

I confirmed with our expert, your gun may be going or that it just is not up to snuff. Try a lesser refresh rate and make the contrast and brightness less hot.

FYI, my monitor has developed a similar bahavior.
When anything with lots of high contrast is on the screen, the monitor emits one of those low pitched sounds you sometimes get from TV's.
For example a spreadsheet with lots of black borders and stuff against white background.

This noise increases in strength the more/higher the contrast, from barely audible when something like AT forums is on the screen, to rather loud and very annoying when I pull up one of those spreadsheets or something similar.

I just tried that and indeed it does appear to fix the "buzzing" sound problem, but i can't work at that refresh rate, my eyes are too sensitive for 75hz 😱

If it is indeed my gun that's giving out, or giving up, then i guess my transition to LCD will have to take place sooner rather than later. This buzzing sound is really affecting my overall enjoyment of using the PC. 🙁

I've been fighting this problem with a monitor or two myself, the buzzing drives me crazy. It is definetly the gun having trouble, you'll notice it is alot more prevelent with white backgrounds, since the guns are working harder.
