What does 'monitor dot pitch' mean? I thought that 'dot' has simliar meaning as in 'dots per inch'. But maybe I'm wrong. When I installed Linux last weekend, it reported that my monitor's dpi is 70. I know the dot pitch of my monitor is 0.25 mm. That is over 100 dots per inch, of course, if I understand the meaning of 'dot pitch' correctly. Are these 'dots' in monitor and 'dots' in printer the same thing, or not? Thanks.
