Monitor does not Display Color Red

halfpower

I have two LCDs plugged into a Jaton nVidia MX4000 dual head card. One monitor looks normal, the other does not display the color red. When I swap the monitor connectors, the no color red problem switches to the other screen. Is there something I need to adjust that will enable red on both monitors? Is there something wrong with my video card? Does any one know why this might happen?

It sounds like one of the pins is not giving a signal to the monitor.
I've seen this before once, albiet with a single-monitor setup. The color green had disappeared. However, after finding blue mysteriously disappearing as well, it turned out that a dog had been chewing on the cable, and had manage to bite through the wire.
If you're using DVI, then you need a new video card.

Check the pins on the cable that is connected to the second monitor out- check them at the vidcard end of the cable. When I have seen this before it has been a bent/ missing pin or a plug only half-way pushed in.
