Monitor display's acting screwy

I'm running a GeForce2 Pro with a Sony 17" monitor...the display is constantly "twitching" or "jerking"...it's hard to describe, actually. It's noticeable, but only to the point of being annoying. If anyone knows what i'm talking about, can they help (without putting down my card or monitor, please...unless they're defective, of course)?

Did this just start happening or has it been doing this from the beginning? What resolution and refresh rate are you running?
 
I upgraded my wifes' motherboard from a Tyan dual slot 1 to an Asus A7V, so it was noticed immediately. However, when I installed the newest nVidia drivers, I got the "Compatibility Issue" warning box regarding the video card.
The display is @ either 800x600 or 1024x768 running @ 75 hz.
