Monitor detection problem with KVM

I'm using a 2-port Linksys KVM switch and I'm having problem with monitor detection with my PC2. If the switch is set to PC2 during PC2 bootup, the monitor type is shown as "Plug and Play Monitor" (in Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Monitor) and the resolution looks good. However if the switch is set to PC1 during PC2 bootup, the monitor type is shown as "Default Monitor" and the resolution is all messed up.

System details for PC2:
Monitor: SYS LCD 17"
PC2: Compaq Presario CTO SR1010Z
CPU: AMD 64 3200+
Video: Integrated
OS: Win XP SP2 Home

Any suggestions?
