Monitor degauss after waking up.

I recently switched from a 9800pro to 7600 GT (yes my motherboard has both PCI-E and AGP). After doing so my monitor will degauss every time I wake it up. It doesn't do this on a reboot or when turning the machine on. Only after the windows turns the monitor off from inactivity. Any idea what causes this? It's really quite annoying.
 
Haven't changed anything other than the video card. No stadby mode, screen saver after 10 min, 15 min later windows turns off the monitor. when move the mouse the screen turns back on and degausses. Only other thing I changed is I now use a DVI->VGA adaptor as this card has 2 DVI-I ports. Makes no sence to me.
