Monitor Cords - Screws Stripped

My monitor cord that plugs into my video card (The blue part with the two screws), well one of the "screws" broke off. The part of the screw that broke off is in the video card. I need to know if I can replace the cord from the monitor and possibly a new connection for my video card. This is hard to explain, but if you understand, I'd appreciate any help I can get.

A new connection for your video card, no. A new cable, maybe. As long as you can unscrew the cable from the monitor itself, then yes you can replace it. However, you do not need to screw it in. If you can still connect the current cable, you are fine. I almost never screw cables like that in.

I agree with Malak, you don't need to screw them in. If anything just screw the one in and that will hold it in place.

Also, if you remove the video card, you should be able to use a small pair of needlenose pliers and back the screw up enough and to then grab it and remove it. Its easily replaced with one from an older card.
