That doesn't sound that cheap. Especially since you'll be punishing your eyes with TN panels.

Check these out: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...ynoteSearch&baynote_bnrank=2&baynote_irrank=0

Same resolution, you lose 1" in diagonal size, but you gain an IPS panel, DisplayPort + USB, and a better stand with portrait rotation.

With a multi-monitor setup, wider viewing angles become more important, which makes IPS vs. TN even more crucial. Also, TN panels are awful in portrait mode.

Samsung website did not list the refresh rate which I found odd. It is 60Hrz. No wonder they dont list this on their website. They are hiding the fact that it is 60Hrz. There can be no other reason. We really need some laws about disclosure before the sale for Monitors and TV's.

My wife was saying I should just order a new 40" HDTV instead of getting a monitor. I built a second computer at home and I hooked hers up to a Samsung LN40C500 HDTV I purchased on sale. Being about 56 her eyesight and mine for that matter is not that good. She said wow I can read the screen really well! After a while, I decided I liked it. I might just get another 40 inch HDTV. I was thinking maybe a Samsung LN40D630???. Mainly because I want the 4 HDMI inputs and the extra gizmos.

We watch a lot of Korean Historical films and other Internet streaming videos. We decided we could do without Cable TV for now being tight on money. Not much good on TV anyway. Who wants to watch those stupid Vampire shows and that other rediculous stuff.
