I recently purchased a refurbished HP LP2465 (24", 1920x1200), and I have some questions about proper color temperature.
The factory default color settings use the custom color profile with red, green, and blue all set to 100%. In this mode, I think the display looks nice and vibrant. However, I've been reading that the sRGB color profile is the standard. Unfortunately, I think this monitor's sRGB color profile seems washed out and dim.
For what it's worth, these settings seem roughly equivalent:
sRGB profile == 6500K == Custom RGB (R 50%, G 50%, B 50%)
Are the color settings listed above "more true" than setting red, green, and blue to 100%? I'm having a hard time deciding which settings are best. I would appreciate any suggestions.
