Monitor color appears washed off after cleaning with distilled water??

Hello,

Recently I have cleaned my Viewsonic VX2753MH monitor with distilled water but after cleaning the monitor color appearing washed off. All colors look washed/faded and the lacking the color vibrancy it originally had.

I had wiped the monitor with my soft clean Jockey underwear. As its the most soft fibre cloth.

What could be the possible reason?? Plz help.

Try with clean Hanes or Fruit Of Loom underwear...
Maybe it will bring colours back....

Fruit of the Loom works better than Hanes, in my experience.

Stained jockey underwear?

The underwear was not stained, it was cleaned washed.

Is it due to the distilled water?? I try cleaning it with another very clean underwear two times but still the color appears washed.

Distilled water is just water with most of the mineral content removed. It would be very difficult to stain/bleach something with water. Are you SURE it was just water?

What colors are we talking about? The screen colors, or the monitor case?

As someone that used to try cleaning my glasses with my shirts, i can assure you, most washing detergents leave behind residue. You need a clean unwashed cloth of sorts.

With the tv off and a good light in the room, does the screen look very very streaky?
