I have a couple monitors where the pins have been severly bent. I was able to get a couple straight, but there is one pin on each monitor that is completely folded over. I can't figure out how to get it straight.

Does anyone

1) know how to get it straight again. I have tried long and hard to do this already, but maybe I am missing something.

or

2) how do you replace the cable or connector when it is permanently attached to the back of the monitor?

Thanks!

I had the same problem years ago and I went to a monitor repair place and they cut the end connector and replaced it. Shortened my cable though...

Well, it is possible to straighten the pin, just requires a safety pin and a steady hand to bend it back into place. Only thing is, too much bending and the pin will just fall off. Best thing to do is follow WobbleWobble's advice and just bring it to a monitor repair place.
